"Germano Ventura" Sports Hall (PalaVentura)

The “Germano Ventura” Sports Hall, known as PalaVentura, is the main indoor sports venue in the city of Lecce. Named after Germano Ventura, a long-standing figure in Lecce basketball, the hall hosts volleyball and basketball competitions, as well as numerous sporting events, throughout the year. Ahead of the 20th Mediterranean Games in Taranto in 2026, the venue has undergone a major refurbishment project involving seismic retrofitting, the modernisation of its technical systems, improved accessibility and the refurbishment of the outdoor areas, bringing it into line with the international standards required for the event. During the Games, it will host the volleyball competitions, welcoming athletes and spectators from across the Mediterranean.
